Court reserves order on pleas in Badal case for Jan 15

Ropar, Jan 10 (UNI) Special Judge, Rupnagar G S Saran today reserved his orders on various applications moved by former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and other accused in the corruption and disproportionate assets case against them for January 15.

Mr Badal did not appear in the court today and sought exemption from the personal appearance through his counsels, which was granted by the court. However, his son Sukhbir Singh Badal appeared in the court.

Earlier, the defence counsels led by former Punjab Advocate General H S Mattewal moved an application in the court praying that the accused be permitted to compare the copies of the CDs pertaining to the case properties supplied to the accused with the original video cassettes attached with challan.
