Maoist courier arrested; 3 landmines unearthed in AP village
Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 9 (UNI) A Maoist courier was arrested near Bodu village adjoining Illandu forest this morning, even as the special police party unearthed three landmines near Mukunur village of Venkatapuram mandal while conducting combing operations.
Informing this to newspersons here, Superintendent of Police R K Meena said one 8 mm rifle and a DBBL gun were recovered from the Maoist courier Bojjaiah.
He also said five Naxalites belonging to banned extremist outfits surrendered before him at his camp office here.
One CPI (Maoist) dalam member, four Naxals, including a dalam member of Prajapratighatana party surrendered duo to ill-health and disenchantment with extremist ideology.
