K'taka Minister lauds State police for arresting ultras

Hubli, Jan 9 (UNI) Karnataka Revenue Minister and BJP leader Jagadish Shettar today lauded the State police for successfully curbing terrorism by arresting ultras.

Participating at the inaugural function of a day-long 'study class' of party office bearers here, he said it was the result of giving a free hand to the police.

Stressing the need to table the reports of both the inquiry commissions that went into the Bhatkal violence, Mr Shettar said that if the earlier Governments had taken note of the the commission reports, terrorist activities would not have increased to this extent. Necessary Cabinet approval for tabling the reports would be given soon, he added.
