INLD for all party meeting on national law and order
Chandigarh, Jan 9 (UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) today urged the Prime Minister to convene an all party meeting to discuss the ''alarming condition of deteriorating law and order situation'' in the country.
INLD Chief Om Parkash Chautala, in a statement here, sought a national consensus and comprehensive policy on the issue.
Mr Chautala alleged that the law and order situation in Assam, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country was grim and worsening day by day.
''India's international image is suffering and this will have adverse effect on the national development and foreign investments. The country is on the verge of disintegration and strong initiative is required'', he said.
The former Chief Minister termed the Nithari serial killings as the blot on the society and nation. ''Nithari kind of incidents are crime against humanity and all politicians including Congress president Sonia Gandhi should desist from politicising the issue'', he added.
INLD chief demanded stern and early action against the culprits of Nithari killings so that the sense of security could be restored in the public.
