Varanasi family fears missing son among Nithari victims
Varanasi, Jan 8 (UNI) Fearing their minor son Babloo -- abducted two years ago -- might also be among the victims of Nithari (Noida) serial killing, a weaver family here took to the street today for their little one.
Led by Dalil-ur-Rehman -- Babloo's grandfather -- the family from weaver-dominated Lohta locality here alongwith volunteers from a local NGO Vishal Bharat Sansthan marched to the office of Inspector General of Police (IG-Varanasi Zone) demanding the government help them urgently.
''He might have fallen victim to the Nithari killers, as the last time the truck driver who abducted Babloo from Lohta on February 16, 2005, contacted us a year back and we were told that Babloo is in Noida,'' Dalil-ur-Rehman said.
The family further alleged that despite repeated requests the police has failed to do anything about their missing son.
Meanwhile, Station Officer (Lohta Police Station) Sajid Siddiqui said the case was still open.
Three people were arrested last year who admitted that truck driver Raju had abducted the boy for ransom. They were, however, set free by the court due to look of evidence.
The police is looking for Raju, but as the truck driver keeps on changing places it is hard to track him, Mr Siddiqui added.
