Tanda medical college to be the best college in North: CM
Shimla, Jan 8 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said Dr Rajinder Prasad Medical College and Hospital at Tanda in Kangra district was his dream project and would be developed as one of the best colleges in northern India on which the state government had already spent Rs 300 crore.
Addressing a public meeting at Rakkar Majherna in the district on the fourth day of his winter sojourn to lower districts of the state, he said his government had already spent Rs 300 crore on its construction, while Rs 50 crore were being spent on procurement of modern machinery and equipment.
Mr Singh said besides his government has also created and sanctioned 1,400 posts of medical, para-medical abd supporting staff for its efficient functioning.
The state government's decision of winter sojourn to lower areas of the state was a step towards taking the government to the people and redressing their grievances, he said.
