Patel to lay foundation stone of Rs 100-cr building in A'bad

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jan 8 (UNI) Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel will lay the foundation stone of the Rs 100-cr project of the New Integrated Terminal Building at the Chikalthana Airport here tomorrow.

Maharashtra Chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh will be the chief guest, while Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil will preside over the function to be held at the Airport premises, official sources said here today.

The new building being built on an area of 20,500 sq mts, will include control tower and fire station.

After completion, the airport will be able to operate both domestic and international flights. The terminal building will have a capacity to handle 400 domestic and 300 international passengers daily. Besides, it will be centrally air-conditioned with all modern amenities like passenger boarding bridges, escalators, glass lifts, conveyor belts in the arrival as well as in the departure hall and adequate car parking facilities, the sources said.
