Opposition protest sale of Azam Zahi Mill land
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 8 (UNI) Activists of the TDP, TRS, CPI. CPI(M) and the CPI(M) (New Democracy) today blocked the entire city protesting against the State Government's decision to sell away the lands of the Azam Zahi mills, established during the erstwhile Nizam rule.
Leaders of these parties demanded setting up of an 'Apparel Park' in the land.
Raising slogans against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the opposition parties organised public meetings on the main roads in the city, creating obstructions to the vehicular traffic.
The Opposition leaders announced that they would organise a city bandh on the occasion of Dr Reddy's visit on January 27.
