Kerala to get Rs 31.08 crore for water supply scheme

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 8 (UNI) The Centre has released an assistance of Rs 31.08 crore to Kerala to take up projects under the Centrally- sponsored Accelerated Rural Water Supply Programme.

The second instalment of the assistance is against the original allocation of Rs 62.16 crore to the state for 2006-07.

The amount is to be used for execution or completion of schemes to provide safe drinking water facilities in rural habitations and schools, an official press release here today said.
