Congress calls for hartal in Idukki over arrest of Ex-MLA

Idukki, Jan 8 (UNI) The Congress today called for a 12-hour hartal in this district tomorrow to protest against the arrest of a former party MLA.

District Congress Committee President Joy Thomas said the hartal was to protest against the arrest of former Devikulam MLA A K Mani in a criminal case.

He alleged that the charges were framed out of political vendetta.
