Shimla, Jan 8 (UNI) Four BJP leaders today launched a scathing attack on Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for terming Party President, Jai Ram Thakur, a junior leader, saying he should not meddle in the internal affairs of the party.

The Chief Minister should refrain from commenting on the internal affairs of the party as it has the right to decide who should lead it, party spokesman Randhir Sharma, MLAs Satpal Singh Satti and Vikram Thakur and former state youth morcha leader Govind Thakur said in a release here.

Advising Mr Singh not to interfere in the internal affairs of the party, they said he should instead worry about his own party, which in all likelihood would not return to power in the next assembly elections.

The BJP would do without his certificate on who was senior and junior within the party, they said.

The BJP leaders said they have stopped taking the Chief Minister seriously after his comments on the state president, instead they are happy that a young and a dynamic leader was leading them.

The party was committed to return to power in the state after the next assembly elections, due in February next year, they added.
