West Bengal bandh hits life in north Bengal

Siliguri, Jan 8: Life in the six districts of north Bengal was today affected following the Bengal Bandh to protest the killings in Nandigram, East Midnapore district.

Barring some two-wheelers, the roads in major parts of Siliguri, the gateway of north Bengal, wore a deserted look and all business establishments remained shut.

However, train services were normal.
