2 files nomination in Akola, none in Amravati for civic polls

Nagpur, Jan 8 (UNI) Only two candidates filed their nominations for the February one election of the Akola Municipal Corporation, while none did so in Amravati, on the first day today for filling of papers.

Official sources said 353 sets of nomination forms were given today in Akola. There are 71 wards in the city.

In Amravati, where elections will be held from the 81 wards, 376 sets of nomination forms were sold, but not a single nomination was received today, official sources said.
