Use of ACs banned in govt offices: CM
Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the use of Air Conditioners (ACs) was banned in all government offices in view of acute power shortage in the state.
The Chief Minister, who is on a tour to north coastal districts, asked the officials concerned to ensure that the power, which was being acquired from other states for a high price, was not wasted and make sure that the power was distributed to farmers judiciously.
Dr Reddy said it was the duty of officials concerned to explain the present situation on power crisis to the farmers.
He said the government was supplying seven hours of uninterrupted power to the farmers despite the power shortage.
