Shashi regrets non-production of movies on animals and nature
Seoni, MP, Jan 7 (UNI) Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor has expressed regret that movies based on forests and animals are not being produced.
Interacting with reporters during his visit to the famous Pench National Park here, he recollected that in 1972, he had acted in 'Janwar aur Insan' -- a movie that vividly depicted the relationship between animals and human beings.
The actor said he used to get livid over his actor-brother Shammi Kapoor's penchant for hunting despite the fact that hunting was legal at that time.
''What's the reason for killing animals just for zest?,'' he asked, adding that the atrocities against animal made him angry.
During his visit, Shashi told his grandson Hamir not to make a loud noise in forest, as it was against rules and animals weredisturbed by it.
His daughter Sanjana Kapoor and son-in-law Valmik Thapar accompanied him along with Melinda Wrights, a forest lover hailing from Britain.
