Paes-Damm seeded fourth in the Medibank tennis event
Sydney, Jan 7 (UNI) Leander Paes and Martin Damm pair has been seeded fourth in the Medibank International tennis tournament starting here tomorrow.
The Indo-Czech duo will face Czech pair of Lukas Dlouzy and Pavel Vizner in the first round of the 436,000 dollar ATP event.
Paes' estranged partner Mahesh Bhupathi teams up with Fabrice Santoro of France and play Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the tournament held ahead of Australian Open which begins on January 15.
Bryan brothers Bob and Mike of USA have been seeded first while the pair of Mark Knowles of Bahamas and Daniel Nestor of Canada has been seeded second.
Paes and Damm yesterday lost to unseeded Russian Mikhail Youzhny and Serb Nenad Zimonjic in the doubles final of the Qatar Open in Doha.
For Bhupathi, it will be the season's first outing after winning Gold in Doha Asiad, partnering Paes in the doubles event last month.
