Kolkata enjoys cool winter, fog delays train service

Kolkata, Jan 7 (UNI) Train services were delayed due to deep fog this morning in various parts of the city and its outskirts.

However, later in the day the weather was sunny and train service normalised. Kolkatans experienced cold weather and there was chill in the air with the cold northerlies blowing.

Met department today forecast clear sky and the minimum temperature would be around 12 degree Celsius.

Sources said the maximum temperature was recorded at around 24 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was around 11.2 degree Celsius.

People enjoyed the sunny weather and thronged to Victoria Memorial, Botanical garden and Zoo.
