Guiness Record holder Hotte Paksha Rangaswamy died
Bangalore, Jan 7 (UNI) Guinness record holder Hotte Paksha Rangaswamy died today after a prolonged illness.
He was 74 and is survived by three sons.
Mr Rangaswamy entered the Guinness Book of World Record for having contested in highest number of elections. He had contested in 86 elections unsuccessfully including to Lok Sabha, Assembly and City Corporation.
Mr Rangaswamy, who floated Hotte Paksha party, entered politics in 1967 by contesting against former Karnataka Chief Minister late Kengal Hanumanthaiah.
Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh condoled the death of Mr Rangaswamy.
