CPI(ML) demands dismissal of Asom government

Patna, Jan 7 (UNI) The CPI (ML) today demanded dismissal of Tarun Gogoi government for its failure to protect the lives and properties of Biharis in Asom.

The workers of the CPI (ML) took out protest march throughout the state venting their anger over the killing of more than 40 Bihari labourers by suspected ULFA militants in Asom on Friday.

Addressing the workers here, the member of the central committee of the party K D Yadav alleged that instead of protecting the lives of Bihari labourers, Tarun Gogoi government was engaged in taking political mileage from the gory incidents.

Both the Centre and Tarun Gogoi government were equally responsible for the series of carnage that occurred during the last few years claiming hundreds of lives of the hindi speaking people in Asom,'' he added.

He also castigated Nitish Kumar government for its failure to provide opportunities for the labourers in the state, who were forced to earn their livelihood in other parts of the country.

The tall claims of NDA government of checking the flow of labourers to outside state had only proved to be a mere political gimmick, he added.
