Asia's first online cyber law clinic portal launched

Anand, Jan 7 (UNI) Asia's first online cyber law clinic portal www.cyberlawclinic.org was launched today at a function organised at Vallabh Vidyanagar near here.

The portal was launched by Semcom, a college affiliated to Charutar Vidya Mandal.

Charutar Vidyamandal president Dr CL Patel formally inaugurated the portal in presence of Mr Pavan Duggal, a noted cyber law expert and Supreme Court lawyer.

The clinic will provide students with an opportunity to participate in supervised litigation, policy and legislative advocacy in matters involving technology and the public interest.

According to Dr Nikhil Zaveri, principal and director, Semcom, ''The clinic aims to help the e-community to understand legal implications and motivate for fair and just dealings in all the transactions, whether for business or non-business, proft or non-profit and at the same time, by making efforts to generate awareness about the virtual world for better living in the real global village.''
