339th birthday of Guru Gobind Singh celebrated

Hyderabad, Jan 7 (UNI) The 339th birthday celebrations of the tenth and last Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, the founder of ''Khalsa Panth'' concluded here today.

Thousands from Sikh community and other communities celebrated the Guru's 339th birthday with religious fervour.

Prabhandak Committee President S Baldev Singh and General Secretary S Avtar Singh, in a statement said over 15,000 Sikh devotees participated in the ''Vishal Deewan'' (Mass Congregation) by offering prayers to Guru Granth Saheb Ji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs).
