Youth beaten to death, naxal hand suspected

Nagpur, Jan 6 (UNI) Suspected naxalites have beaten a youth to death with sticks in Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, the police said today.

According to the police, a group of suspected naxalites beat Haridas Kande Korami, 22 in village Ghotsur in Etapalli tehsil of the district to death when he was keeping a watch on his farm late on Thursday night. His body was discovered yesterday, the police said.

The police suspect that it is the naxalites who have killed Haridas as the latter had expressed his desire to participate in a police recruitment drive.
