TTD EO releases books on Annamacharya

Tirupati, Jan 6 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer A P V N Sarma today released two books on Annamacharya's lyrics and English translation of Krishna Sastry's poems, brought out by the Dravidian University, at a function held at Kuppam.

In his address, Mr Sarma said the TTD was contemplating to bring out a dictionary on Annamacharya who wrote more than 15,000 'Keerthanas.' All necessaary help would be extended to Dravidian University which is working on translating Annamacharya Keertans into English and other languages, he added.

The university had also started a diploma course on Annamacharya, Vice-Chancellor G Lakshminaryana said.

He appealed the TTD to extend support for translating Annamachrya Keertans into other languages.
