Speller's silver goal steers Orissa Steelers to win

Chennai, Jan 6 (UNI) Dutch player Tjeerd Speller scored a silver goal in the first half of extra time to give Orissa Steelers a solitary goal win over Chandigarh Dynamos in the third ESPN-Premier Hockey League here this evening.

In a well contested match, both the teams had their chances but failed to convert them.

After a goalless draw at the end of four quarters, the all important goal came in the fourth minute in the first half of time when the Dutch player did the star turn with a superb drag flick conversion off a penalty corner.

Orissa Steelers got two points and Chandigarh Dynamos, which suffered the second successive defeat in as many days, gained one point.
