PDP leader shot dead in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 6 (UNI) Militants shot dead a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a partner in the coalition government in north Kashmir this afternoon, official sources said.
They said militants shot at and critically wounded Ghulam Hussain Bhat near the block office at Dangiwacha this afternoon.
Mr Bhat died on his way to hospital.
A police spokesman said a police dog trainer constable Ajaz Ahmad was also injured when an explosives device detonated accidently here today.
He said it was a Tri Nitro Toluene (TNT) explosion.
The injured constable has been admitted to a hospital, he said.
