Metal prices further decline on lack of fresh demand
Mumbai, Jan 6 (UNI) Metal prices further declined on lack of fresh demand today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange informed.
In the ferrous section, copper utensils, Brass utencil and Brass cutting eased by Rs 615, Rs 200 and Rs 300 per quintal respectively on increase offers by stockists.
In the non-ferrous section, Aluminium ingot and lead ingots fell by Rs 100 each, while Zinc slab slashed by Rs 200 per quintal due to sluggish demand.
Tin slab and Nickel cathode eased by Rs five and Rs 30 per kg respectively on thin buying support, Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 30,500, copper utensils - Rs 28,285 brass utensils - Rs 22,400, brass cuttings - Rs 29,200 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,100.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 33,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,400, zinc slab - Rs 22,200, lead ingots - Rs 7,400, tin slab - Rs 600 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,730 (per kg).
