Neemuch, MP, Jan 6 (UNI) A peaceful bandh was today observed in this district headquarters in response to a call by the Akhil Bharatiya Krishi Gau Seva Sangh (ABKGSS) protesting against the slaughter of about 100 cows in nearby Mandsaur district.

The cows' carcasses were found on January 4 within empty slate mines at Pityakhedi village roughly 10 km from Mandsaur district.

A tense atmosphere was created and a total bandh was observed in Mandsaur yesterday.

Police said the bandh was total in Neemuch and no untoward incident was reported.

ABKGSS workers submitted a memorandum to the local administration and demanded strict action in this regard.
