AP diploma engineers assn stages demo

Rajahmundry, Jan 6 (UNI) More than 50 members of the Andhra Pradesh Power Diploma Engineers Association here today staged a dharna before the office of the Superintending Engineer Operation Circle demanding APEDDCL to desist from awarding harsh punishment and disciplinary action to its employees without examining the case in detail.

They claimed the officers and staff of APPEDDCL were working efficiently and this was supported by the fact they won national level awards thrice.

The agitationists claimed the staff faced much difficulty due to increased workload and the management was harassing a section of the sub-divisional officers mentally and physically without providing them with adequate men and materials by making frequent field inspections and recommending disciplinary action without reasonable cause.

After presenting a memorandum to Superintending Engineer C Symala Rao, they dispersed.
