Indian Gasohole to set up Ethanol units in Bihar, invest Rs13,357 cr
Patna, Jan 5(UNI) Tamil Nadu based Indian Gasohole Limited will set up Ethanol units in Bihar with an investment of around Rs 13,357 crores.
''The project was approved by the state government in the cabinet today,'' cabinet coordination secretary Girish Shankar said here.
He said the company would set up ethanol units in state and on completion of this project, the state would export more than 5.4 million tonnes of ethanol per year.
''A crane machine of 25000 TCD capacity each will be installed at Buxar, Rohtas, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jamui, Lakhisarai, Munger, Bhagalpur, Araria, Katihar, and Nalanda for the production ethanol from the sugar cane juice'' he informed.
''About 15 lakh acres of land would be developed for the production of sugar cane,'' he said adding solar cell panels would be made aavilable for the irrigation of the sugar canes, a raw material for the mega project.
