Activites come to halt in Gramin Banks in Tripura
Agartala, Jan 5 (UNI) Activities of Gramin Banks throughout Tripura came to a halt following a day's strike called by the Joint Forum of Gramin Bank Unions here today .
The employees had been demanding implementation of banking pension settlement, parity with sponsor banks in payment of allowances and benefits, continuance of compassionate appointment scheme and uniform manpower planning, recruitment and promotion policy, a union release said.
The union had threatened to intensify the stir if government failed to fulfill their demands, sources said.
