Trinamool activists on a rampage in WBIDC office
Kolkata, Jan 4 (UNI) Protesting land acquisition for industrialisation, Trinamool Congress supporters went on a rampage in the West Bengal Industrial Development(WBIDC) office in the city here today.
Carrying flags and shouting anti-industry slogans, about 50 Trinamool Congress supporters stormed the WBIDC office in the Dalhousie area and broke furniture, snapped telephone wires and tore files, police said.
One of the agitators, who was caught by the WBIDC employees, was later handed over to police.
The agitated Trinamool activists were protesting the reported land acquisition move at Nandigram in East Midnapore district, where a mob clashed with police yesterday.
