Son held for killing father

Ferozabad, Jan 4 (UNI) A man was arrested for allegedly killing his father in the district, police said.

The body of Mahesh -- a resident of Pyarepur village -- was recovered a month back from a well in Nagli Sigi area.

His son Akhilesh is the main accused in the case. He was arrested on tuesday night, the police said yesterday.

On interrogation, the accused confessed that Mahesh had intimate relationship with a woman and was planning to marry her.

Anticipating division of ancestral property, Akhilesh engaged Sunil and Karua of the same village to kill his father.

On November 21, the duo strangled Mahesh and threw his body in a well.
