SAI to provide incentives to sportspersons

Puducherry, Jan 4 (UNI) The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will provide an incentive of Rs 4.62 lakh to 70 sportspersons, who had participated and won medals in National and International events.

A SAI release here said SAI Training Centre Assistant Director G Krishna Kumar had handed over the cheque for the amount to State Education Minister M O H F Shajahan, which would be provided to the sportspersons soon.

Each sportsperson would get an amount of Rs 6600, it added.
