SAD (Amritsar) announces first list of 33 candidates

Ludhiana, Jan 4 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) headed by Simranjeet Singh Mann today released the first list of 33 candidates for the forthcoming Punjab assembly elections to be held on February 13.

While releasing the list here today SAD (A) general secretary Prof Jagmohan Singh said, ''Our party is committed to forge a united front to defeat the Congress and SAD(B)-BJP combine, who have miserably failed to solve any issue of Punjab over the last many decades''.

''To ensure a three-cornered contest in all the 117 constituencies of Punjab, our party will enter a seat-sharing alliance with all the like-minded parties,'' he added.

He said party president Mr Mann would also contest election this time but the seat has not been decided yet.
