Railways retain women title

Jaipur, Jan 4 (UNI) A brilliant performance by Geetu Anna Jose helped Railways beat Delhi in an all repeat final to retain the 57th Senior National Basketball Championship women's title at the SMS Indoor hall here today.

Displying dazzling shooting ability, Anna was the star performer for Railways who led by 48-27 at the half time. Anna alone scored 35 points. She was ably supported by Wilson's 18 points. Railways dominated the proceedings of the match in the first half but Delhi fought well in the later half. Divya Singh top scored with 20 points for Delhi followed by Prashanti's 14 point and, Sheeba's 10 points.

Following is the results- Railways 85 (Geetu Anna Jose 35, Wilison 18) bt Delhi 70 (Divya Singh 20, Prashanti 14).
