Madhukarrao Chaudhary to join Congress tomorrow

Mumbai, Jan 4 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Madhukarrao Chaudhary is scheduled to join the Congress tomorrow.

Mr Chaudhary, a former Congressman, had broken away from the party to join Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 1999 when the former had launched the party on the issue of Sonia Gandhi's foreign origin.

Mr Chaudhary will be formally inducted into the party tomorrow by Maharashtra Pradesh Ccongress Committe president Prabha Rau. All India Congress Committee spokesman Abhishek Singhvi will also be present, party sources said.
