JSW Steel ups price of galvanised steel

New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) JSW Steel Ltd has announced a hike of Rs 1,500 per metric tonne for its galvanised steel.

''The price hike for galvanised steel has been necessitated by the increase in zinc prices and the impact of other raw material prices,'' the company's Director (Finance) MVS Seshagiri Rao said in a statement today.

The government yesterday asked steel companies to ensure transparency in their pricing decisions, during the first meeting of the newly set up price monitoring committee with the ministry of steel.
