HP CM begins winter sojourn to lower areas from tomorrow

Shimla, Jan 4 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh will begin his winter sojourn to Kangra and other adjoining districts of the state from tomorrow, an official spokesman today said.

The Chief Minister's extensive tour programme during the sojourn would further boost the pace of development in those areas besides reviewing the ongoing schemes and projects.

The spokesman said on the first day of winter sojourn, he would hear public grievances at Dharamshala Mini Secretariat, besides inaugurating Horticulture Assistant Director's office building.

Next day, Mr Singh would tour Nagrota Bagwan Assembly Constituency and inaugurate Water Supply Scheme Sera Thana Dhaloon and lay the foundation stones of Autopsy Block and Animal Block at Dr Rajendera Prasad Government Medical College Tanda, Government Degree College building at Nagrota Bagwan, he said.

He said the Chief Minister would also address a public meeting at Nagrota Bagwan whose Nagar Panchayat would host a civil reception in his honour.

On January seven, the Chief Minister would visit Baijnath Assembly constituency and inaugurate pharmacy building and Library Block in Rajiv Gandhi Post- Graduate Ayurveda College at Paprola and augmentation and improvement of DWSS Uttrarla and Bachat Bhawan at Baijnath, Community Centre Mahakal Temple, Lift Water Supply Scheme Gadiara Langru (Bahi) Sakri besides laying foundation stones of Govt Degree College building at Baijnath and Bus Stand.

The spokesman said he would also address public meetings at Kandral and Sakri.

Mr Singh would tour Rajgir Assembly Constituency on January eight and lay foundation stones of PHC buildings at Banuri, Tinbar, Lift Water Supply Scheme to Partially Covered Habitation under Drinking Water Supply Scheme Chadhiar and inaugurate Water Supply Scheme Rakkar Majherna and address public meetings at Rakkar and Chadhiar.
