Dara slams inadequate facilities

Mandsaur, MP, Jan 4 (UNI) Parliamentarian and film actor Dara Singh, a well-known wrestler, today said that inadequacy of facilities was standing in the way of Indians' performance in the Olympics.

''The Centre has neglected players and not enough is spent on them. That is why students are not as interested in sports as they should be,'' the Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajya Sabha MP said here while addressing the valedictory programme of a Khel Chetna Mela (Sports Awareness Fair).

Madhya Pradesh Environment and Forests Minister Himmat Kothari was also present.
