New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave permission to the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) to form a Subsidiary Company for development of Railside Warehousing Complexes.

The decision was taken by the Union Cabinet at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The Subsidiary Company shall try to achieve much more by becoming a logistics player than what the CWC has been able to do.

Also, the Subsidiary can be more focussed and economical in approach and will have a broader vision for itself, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
