Cop shoots self

Sheohar, Jan 4 (UNI) A homeguard Pramod Kumar Singh, deputed at the official residence of Sheohar sub-divisional officer (SDO) on security duty, shot himself to death early today.

A Preliminary inquiry suggested that the incident occurred at the residence of Sheohar SDO when the victim was sitting in a chair, district police superintendent K K Verma said.

''Investigation was on to ascertain whether the incident was accidental or the jawan committed suicide,'' he added.
