CBI files charge sheet against insurance official

Kochi, Jan 4 (UNI) The CBI today filed a charge sheet against an insurance company official for misappropriation of funds.

According to an offcial release here, the investigating agency filed the charge sheet against senior assistant of the United India Insurance Company Sivasundaram for allegedly misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs 17 lakh.

The official was also alleged to have illegally routed the commission of policies registered directly to the company by modifying the agency codes, the release added.
