Betting racket busted in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) Police have busted a racket of cricket betting with the arrest of three people from West Delhi.

Raju Manchanda, Jasbir Singh and Rakesh were arrested for betting on cricket match between India and South Africa yesterday from Subhas Nagar area.

Police recovered eight mobile phones, a laptop, colour television, and three calculators.

At the time of the arrest bets worth more than Rs 10 lakh had already been placed.

During interrogation the accused revealed that they were involved in betting for over a year now. Further investigations are in progress.
