3-day NICOM from Jan 5

Ahmedabad, Jan 4 (UNI) The annual three-day international conference on management, NICOM-2007, will be held at the Nirma University beginning January 5.

The conference will be inaugurated by Steel Authority of India chairman S K Roongta while eminent scholar Prof Udai Pareek will deliver the keynote address, a press release said here.

During the three days, a session on ''Business History of Gujarat'' will be held. The panel for the session includes Zydus Cadila chairman Pankaj Patel, business historian Prof Dwijendra Tripathi, and Crisil advisor Sunil Parikh.

Another session will be on SEZs, in which deliberations will be made by Ms Marina Wes, senior economist, World Bank and Mr Sanjay Gupta, advisor (infrastructure adn energy), Adani Group and will be chaired by Dr Indravadan A Modi, chairman, Cadila Pharma group.

Others who will be attending the conference are Prof Bradley Bowden, Griffith University, Australia; Dr David Lamond, consulting editor Emerald; Prof Rakesi B Sambharya, Rutgers University; Prof.

Sushil, IIT Delhi; Prof Atul Tandon, director, Mica, among others.
