Zargar, Khan nominated as PDP leader, Chief Whip in Assembly

Jammu, Jan 3 (UNI) People's Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated Minister for Agriculture Abdul Aziz Zargar and former Minister of State for Social Welfare Ghulam Hassan Khan as the Leader of its Legislature Party its Chief Whip in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly respectively.

According to party release, Mr Zargar will replace former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig who was removed from the post as well as the Deputy Chief Minister.

Similarly Mr Khan will replace Peer Mohammad Hussain, who has been inducted as a Minister of State for Power and Health in the council of ministers.

PDP President Ms Mehbooba Mufti, Member of Parliament, has communicated to the Speaker of Tara Chand about the nominations.
