Three-day Girijan Maha Sabha begins

Rajahmundry, Jan 3 (UNI) As many as 5000 Girijans belonging to nine districts of Andhra Pradesh took out a rally from Gowtham Ghat to Subramanya Maidan, where the three-day Girijan Maha Sabha commenced today.

The Maha Sabha was organised to fight for their rights, land and employment.

Several cultural items were staged at the venue Subramanya Maidan, which was named after Alluri Sitaramaraju.

Tripura Minister for Girijan Welfare Jathin Chowdary, Rajya Sabha Member P Madhu, MLA Kolaka Lakshmana Murthy and MLA Z Rajaiah participated in the function.
