RSS functionary arrested for attacking MLA's house

Madikeri, Jan 3 (UNI) An RSS office bearer was arrested on the charge of pelting stones at the residence of Virajpet MLA Basavaraju late last night.

Police said Chakkera Manu was arrested based on a complaint from the Legislator to the Gonikoppal police. Police rushed to the spot and a tipsy Manu was taken to the hospital for a medical check up.

He was produced before the Magistrate this morning, who remanded him to judicial custody.

Manu was reportedly peeved at the non-cooperation of the MLA in the Hindu Samajotsava held on January one at Gonikoppal.
