Rains, snow likely in J

Pune, Jan 3 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, while rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Punjab and cold day conditions prevailed in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Orissa, Haryana, east Rajasthan and in remaining parts of Punjab.

Night temperatures were below normal in Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka, and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Chattisgarh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in southeast Rajasthan and Kutch and in some parts of west Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.
