Procter and Gamble launches new AGM technology

Vijayawada, Jan 3 (UNI) Procter and Gamble today launched here new 'Pampers' with Absorbent Gel Material (AGM) technology for urine absorption and to aid uninterrupted sleep for babies.

P and G Associat Marketing Director J P Kuehlwein said 'Pampers', the world's No one diaper brand, had given 30 million babies across 150 countries the gift of uninterrupted sleep every night for their healthy development.

With 45 million babies, India was home to the largest number of babies in the world. China came second with 27 million babies.

Affordability was a key barrier to diaper use in India to date, he said, adding the new 'Pampers' was offered at only Rs 10 per diaper. Mr Kuehlwein said 'Pampers' was the world's No one diaper brand and one of the world's top 50 innovations as per Time magazine.

It conducted India's first-ever baby sleep and development survey by A C Nielsen among 200 pediatricians in 12 metros and class one towns throughout the country.

New 'Pampers' was being launched in three different sizes - small, medium and large as per the weight of the baby, as well as in different pack counts and was available at supermarkets and chemists across the country, he added.
