Prez to arrive on two-day visit to TN tomorrow

Chennai, Jan 3 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam will arrive here tommorow on a two-day visit to Tamil Nadu.

An official release here today said soon after his arrival at Tiruchirappali airport at 2235 hrs from Delhi, he would drive to Circuit House for an overnight stay.

On January 5, he would leave for Chidambaram by helicopter to address the delegates of the 94th Indian Science Congress (ISC) at 0930 hrs in Annamalai University.

Soon after his address, Dr Kalam would inaugurate the Children's Science Congress at the Annamalai University complex. He would proceed to Virudhunagar to inaugurate the National Centre for Advanced Reserach in Discrete Mathematics and the International Conference 'Origene 2007' on recent trends in bio-technology at the Kalsalingam University.

Dr Kalam would then leave for Madurai to interact with the students of Madurai Nadar Uravinmurai's Jayaraj Nadar Higher Secondary School before laying the foundation stone of Dr G Venkataswamy Eye Research Centre.

The President would return to Chennai airport at 1955 hrs to attend the valedictory function of the sesquicentennial celebrations of the Chennai Police and leave for Delhi the same day, the release added.
